Re: Oh dear - misfire
Change of plan, I am going to tackle it myself. Local garage said this was a known problem and quite often they need to drill out the injector and then reem the hole. Very concerned about how you stop swarf going into the cyclinder with that action. Found a brilliant youtube video for a guy who did ...

Oh dear - misfire
So after 8 miles of completely normal driving, I slowed and stopped at a roundabout to find a petrol smell and rough tick over. A quick blip of the throttle confirmed something wasn't right with no smooth rpm increase and a rough sounding noise. Immediately cruised home at slow speed and parked up. ...

Re: Keeping exhaust valves shut
Thanks all. I must admit I’m guessing somewhat that it would smash the drive-by at Bedford, having been there a few times and seen others being black flagged. Not scientific but my car does feel a lot louder than those I’ve seen flagged there on the drive-by. I might stick an line switch in as per ...

Re: Keeping exhaust valves shut
Hi elugelab, I also have an R and in dynamic mode so valves open and at 3,500 rpm it measures 99Db. This has been measured several times at Castle Combe. Not sure what the limit is a Bedford but would have thought you'd have been OK. Let us know when you're going, I'm in Hertfordshire so not that fa...

Re: Castle Combe JEC Track day 4th October
Update
Had a great day and the weather was really good. I took some ARDS tuition, 15 minutes free and it was amazing, completely changed my driving style and improved some lines. Still not fast but fast enough for me to enjoy myself and still bring it home in one piece.

Re: 'Michelin Pilot Sport 5' tyres fitted last week
They do look good. I learnt something new about tyres on my Mallory Park track day, a friend with much more track experience than me said we can check the side walls for correct pressure. Curious I said how, he explained that manufacturers put markings on the side wall to denote the correct scrub li...
