Very interested, maybe in a years time when my 1st years Jaguar warranty expires..or can I delay the start date?

Why is the Gap insurance quote double my actual Car Insurance , seems odd that the "GAP" payment to make up the shortfall is twice the price. Confused!!

I got 4 years cover from ALA for £352 which seemed ok to me, what are they quoting for you?

Excuse my naivety, but why does GAP insurance exist?
Is it solely for new purchases to cover the “drive off the forecourt depreciation”?
Surely if you insure your car the insurance should pay out the value of that car. It seems they are selling an extra insurance product to cover the fact that they will not pay you out on what you’ve insured.
Seems basically wrong to me
