Funnily enough...

Today I was driving in Sport but full auto( not using paddles)
Went for an overtake and the car dropped to 2nd gear but then '2' came up on the dash - like when you're using the paddles.
It didn't change up and the 2 went white (assume telling me it hit the limiter) and I had to use the paddles to change up.

But isn't the sport position effectively manual rather than auto? You just have the option of changing gear with either pasddles or stick.

In my experience sport is still auto unless you use the paddles.
Don’t touch the paddles and it will change gear.
Holds on to the gears longer though.

You can configure the paddles to be used in Dynamic, Sport, or neither...

Sorry to hear of the blow up, and surprised it happened .... I’m also surprised the warranty has covered as surely the ECU would record how it happened ... I guess you wont be do it again next month when you get it back on the road ....

I had this last weekend : shifting down to second, but first it didn't go from 3rd--> 2nd, then changed down again, went into 1st..
No harm down though, only got a scare as ir revved up above 7000rpm in a flash..
