Hi guys,

I've been lurking on this forum for many months (brought the car in September last year from Guy Salmon Jag Northampton) and thought I would wait till I really knew my car to pass judgement and share my experience. All i can say is coming from a R35 GTR and before that a manual 997 turbo, i have been blown away by the f type. It is my daily and i cant think of a better car on the market at the moment for myself. The looks, noise, and the comfort are unmatched and I love how it has a split personality one second its a calm cruiser the next a real brute of a car.

I'm 27 so am fairly young for a Jag owner, and i felt it was missing a few bits to spice it up aesthetically when i brought it. So below is a list of mods I have made and also a few pictures. I did not want to over do it but feel these mods transform the look of the car, although i understand they may not be to everyone's taste.

Window tints, black wrapped wing mirrors, wheel spacers, black powder coated wheels with yellow calipers and black centre caps, SVR style carbon fibre spoiler

Next on my list (and then that's it!) - black badges, carbon fibre rear diffuser, front splitter and side skirts (i have these already just waiting to fit at the moment, will update with pictures when fitted)

Let me know what you think guys :)

Welcome...

I'm loving the silver + black + carbon, but I'm biassed as mine has the same colour combo, but with far less carbon! ;)

Might be nice to finish of the wheels with black wheel nuts?

I'm also a big fan of yellow calipers, especially with dark wheels.

Congatulations. As an F-type owner please note that there is no version called ”V8 R”. It’s just ”R”.

You might want to do something about that big panel gap. See your last photo with the rim.

Welcome to the group and the increasingly rare 2WD V8R clan. Best choice/setup for the F Type imo.

Get the rear begets hydrodipped piano black, it'll look the dogs...and rear tinted lenses will finish it off a treat.

Don't wrap the car for god sake, you'll never get insured without paying a fortune, As I'm now finding out......

That's incorrect.

You Can wrap your car and get cheap insurance... You just don't insure for the cost of the wrap.
