Hi everyone,
I’m new here and just thought I’d say hello,
I’m on my fourth Jaguar in my life, first was 30 years ago a series 2 XJ 4.2 then after a few other cars in between in 2007 I came back to Jaguar with a 2.5 AWD X Type, then in 2009 I upgraded to an XFR 5.0 and then 18 months ago traded it for my F Type R which I call her Isabella, (I always name my cars does anyone else?)
I actually fell in love with the V8 engine in the XFR having covered 50000 miles in it but I also always wanted a sports car but decided to wait until the AWD was available on the F Type because the XFR was actually dangerous in the wet, even with DSC and snow mode engaged the back end was always very twitchy.
So I’m now the proud owner of an F Type R for over a year and enjoying every minute of it even if I keep annoying my neighbors every time it barks into life in the drive
I hope to be able to contribute something here,
You all seem to be a good bunch of like minded people,
Kind regards,
Steve

Hello Steve,
The Jaguar Breakfast Club is a popular meet...
Always on first Saturday of the month. Here’s a link to the official website. Lots of all types of Jaguar’s attend. It is a great event...
http://www.jaguarbreakfastclub.org.uk/
There’s also a Facebook group.
Quite a few off here go, usually when weather is good from April-Oct. Tim (Timbo) brings his heavily modified Firesand R Coupe, which always attracts plenty of attention. Another forum member Alasdair had just traded up from V6S to SVR Coupe. This is also undergoing some enehancments & will be coming along next year.
There’s a new cafe opened not far from Gayden. It’s called Caffeine & Machine...
http://caffeineandmachine.com/
This place is growing in popularity. Could set something up here also. I have already emailed them asking about holding an F-Type meet. The response was, at best, vague. They must be inundated with requests. Might just be a turn up job. Peter, who runs the JBC has also mentioned a possible meet here. Might be an issue with space though.
Anyway, lots to look forward to
