Hi All

This is my new F type R AWD V8. Only 9,000 miles and one careful owner until 9,549 miles. Not the best pic you will see on this site but room for improvement.

Does anyone know if front subframe on V8 AWD is the same as subframe on V6 AWD?

Not in a rush to fix her but first inspection once front stripped looks better than thought.

Will post a before and after when complete.

I'm guessing that wasn't your car but you've purchased from an auction/salvage yard?
(Based on the lettering on the windscreen).

Hope you get it sorted, I personally wouldn't know where to start so some pics along the way would be nice to see.

Looking forward to following this. Would love to know how much you paid for a car in this state but realise you may not wish to disclose that.

What made you get this car (in tis condition). If you don't mind me asking what did you pay ?

Making good progress on sourcing parts and keen to post an update answer some of the questions and a keep people informed but not sure best way to do so? Do I just add to this post or set up a new one in main section? I see Santoshlv426 says this topic should be pinned as ongoing project but no idea how to do that. If anyone can advise me on how best to set something up so can post progress on this please advise and will update as best I can as plan to get stuck into in over next 2 months.

I would just add to this post. It is your topic/thread so post it here.

I don't think the forum has the ability to pin or make sticky a topic. On "quick links" at the top there is the "what's new" shortcut. Everytime you post an update it will jump to the top of list.

Good luck with the rebuild and looking forward to some history, what happened, etc and of course the progress over the coming months.
