Hi all, Im new here and to the F-type and jaguar, I've got a red MY18 coupe R awd, i've had it 2 months now and I'm absolutely loving it so far :D
I bought this to replace a 5.0 V8 mustang GT that I had but i decided i wanted awd so i can drive it daily all year round.
Anyway here's a picture of it for you all.

Beautiful example, loving the colour and the fixed rear spoiler, a warm welcome to you,

We have regular meets, which county area are you from?

Kind regards,

Welcome to the club! Excellent choice of model, too (though I may be biased!) ... ;)
Only a few of us with the classy fixed rear spoiler, too! :D

Welcome along to the madhouse. Lots of info on here. It would be nice to get a comparison from the Mustang to the Jag. I don't think the engines are that much different apart from the macking great superchargers we have on the Jags.

The engines are different in the cross plane crank on the Mustang, and the flat plane crank on the Jag. Basically the traditional V8 sound from the Mustang, vs the higher revving of the Jag. There's some good info here: https://carbuzz.com/features/battle-of- ... ross-plane

Nice Car. I also have the Fixed rear spoiler. Really transforms the car !
On the V8's, there must be some difference as the Mustang (and even the LExus LC500) produce 375kw vs the Jag's 402KW with V8, 5L.
Both seem to use the cross plan crankshaft

Hi All thanks for the warm welcome, sorry it's taken so long to reply i've been really busy over the last month or so. I'm from Derbyshire and would love to attend some meets.
Comparing the mustang to the Jag they are almost completely different the build quality is in the jag is in a different league to the mustang, the drive is also different too, even though the mustang is a cross plane crank it rev's higher than the jag engine (7500 rpm vs 6500 rpm) , i'm not sure if this is due to the supercharger on the jag?
