For Sport you knock the gear selector to the left.
Dynamic = slightly twee chequered flag icon shows, and the red dials.
Sport = selected gear shows and changes colour at the rev limit - and no auto change going up the box.

Dynamic + Sport is the only way to travel, but can induce childish giggles :D

it certainly never reverted to manual for the rest of that journey, so was holding onto the Revs every shift, until I shifted or it had to change up.

Not sure I have Sport and Dynamic? I have the Dynamic switch that turns the dials red, and a switch for the Exhaust, Not sure how you would select Sport though?
Sport is selected by pulling the stick back to D and then pushing it over the left. Once you've used the paddles, it'll stay in manual in S but will revert to auto if in D. Also, did you know you can manually shift in S by pushing or pulling the stick instead of using the paddles, if that's your bag?

Possibly the only record of someone changing gear with the selector :D
Why you would want to take a hand off the wheel is a mystery.

I've done it a few times - it seems a shame not to use all the car's functions! ;)

A couple of times for me.
I think it’s a nod to people who lament the demise of a “proper manual”.
Fortunately the ZF 8 speed is a great transmission - imagine the F-Type with a CVT ;)

Well it was second service time... £366, plus had the rusty front cross brace inspected, just got the dealer stock response of our Warranty Expert has inspected it and it is just surface rust... didn't go as far as to say stone chips so not our problem, like cars never drive over stones?

Guess i'll sort that myself then, probably for the best anyway.

The corrosion on the front 'A' frame is easy enough to sort out.

Did you also have the rear subframe and cross braces checked just in case, as you previously mentioned that you were keeping your eye on 1 corner?

Just nothing of concern, will give them a look when I get the front up to sort the front crossbrace.

Well worth checking.

I do this now and again and when the car goes in for MOT.
