I have a BMW which is over 14 years old and it has been used through many salty winters etc. There’s nowhere near the amount of underbody corrosion on it as the photo of the subframe on this 6 year old F-Type which shows far more than superficial rust.

Waxoil & underseal is a total waste of time on rusted components as the rust is sealed in and will reappear within a short time (even if the rust is rubbed down you won’t get rid of all of it). Waxoil & underseal is best used on new or uncorroded components to give them an extra level of protection.

Going back to Nigel’s original post......I think the Jaguar F-Type is a superb car and I’m sure you won’t be disappointed if you buy one.

At least by asking for advice on here you will know what to look out for before parting with a big chunk of money.
