Hi All,
Been surfing this site for about a year. Thank you for all the information.
Back in 2011, I was changing my old BMW740 that I had run from 70k miles to 210k miles. As it would be my daily driver I had narrowed it down to an XK4.2 or a BMW650. BMW was considerably cheaper for the same year, from memory XK's were £22k against £15k for the same age and mileage BMW. I bought a BMW650 with 47k miles for £15k.
In 2014, we were in California and passed a Jaguar dealer and we had an hour to spare so popped in to have a nosey around the F-Type. Absolutely loved it. That night, I logged onto the Jaguar and specced my ideal F-type.

Roll forward to the middle of last year, started looking at F-type's armed with a spreadsheet with the spec I wanted. Just before Christmas, I had my specialist give my BMW a once over, it would need rear tyres, front discs and pads, a couple of brake pipes + some other bits and bobs, so about £1600 of work. Mileage had just ticked over 200k. I needed to buy a Jaguar and get a move on. I had been watching several privately advertised examples that met my criteria, but two stood out. A firesand one with 38k miles and a black one with 18k miles. I really wanted the black one, but it was almost £4k over what I wanted to spend. I watched the price come down over 3 months to within £1500 of what I wanted to spend.

On the morning of 23rd Dec, I rang the owner and he made a positive impression, so arranged to view and set off on a 540 mile round trip. Car was as expected, perfect in every way. And I got it for my target price. Delighted. A v6s with performance seats, Meridian surround, panaromic roof, right wheels, FJSH, camera, in control apps, heated steering wheel and windscreen. etc.. HPI clear.
Collection day was 28th Dec so everything went well, vendor kindly included a bespoke F-type car cover. Absolutely love it. Fantastic to drive and very comfortable, on my 280 mile trek to my customer. I hope to run it to 200k miles. Fingers crossed.
Sorry about upside down images, I cannot fix...:-(

Congratulations that's a great spec. you landed there and all the sweeter for a bit of discount too.

Might be a good day to keep it covered up and away from the floods!
