Hi all, thank you letting me join your forum.

I’m from the North Cotswolds, as the title suggests i’m looking to purchase an F-Type, my budget is low but i’m sure something will turn up.

I’ve been a Jaguar fan since I was 17, XJ6 series 2 was my first car, spent all my wages in petrol back then but the cars were cheap.
Anyway, was looking to go electric and bought a Nearly new Nissan Leaf that ended up going back, then realised my dream car the F-Type is almost within budget so hear I am.

Welcome Ian,

I’m sure you’ll get lots of wise advice on any potential purchase, including one very helpful person who can look deep into the history of a car for you.

Nissan Leaf to F-Type is probably a first!
Hope you like your “music” turned up to 11 :D

Well it was the Leaf that was the unusual car for me but the offer of free fuel from work was appealing, I sold a TDV8 Range Rover to get the leaf and a Boxster was sold a few months before that, generally my cars are loud and thirsty so I think the F-Type will feel like normal behaviour as far as my neighbours are concerned.

Welcome to the forum, we look forward to welcoming you to the club!

Take your time when looking, there are plenty out there. I'd suggest you make a priority list of your must-haves to like-to-haves as that should help you involve your head while looking. Everyone's must-haves are different - mine were a V8 with heated windscreen and steering wheel, heated and cooled seats, and a non-white interior. I wasn't too fussed over the exterior colour because, really, I've yet to see an F-Type that isn't drop-dead gorgeous in any colour. There are three levels of audio systems, a basic Jag one, a 380W Meridian and a 770W Meridian with surround sound. I've got the 380W which sound fine to my ears, but I rarely turn it on since the sound from the back 4 "speakers" is so brilliant.

Good luck with the search!

Thanks for the info, to be honest i’m no connoisseur of music so that’s no issue, I’d rather listen to that exhaust note than any band.
I’d agree with you on colour, amazing car in any.
My budget is limited so V6 it’ll be but I can live with that, I’d prefer full leather interior but again my budget will mean I have to accept whatever comes along, I haven’t seen a bad one yet. Fixed head coupe is my only stipulation as I don’t like soft top cars.

Me too. The soft top looks great with the top down, the coupe looks great all the time.

That’s useful thank you, I am looking at a white car with low mileage, the dealer wants 24k and said he won’t discount, concerns me the car hasn’t been taxed since August 2019, suggests he’s been trying to sell it for a long time, is it possible to do a check? Reg FN64AAU, thank you in advance,
Also if it’s a poor spec etc I appreciate any feedback but please bear in mind my budget is stretched for any F-Type but it’s a dream car for me so any is better than none.

FN64 AAU is car number 15,454.
VIN = SAJAC60F7F8K15454

The advert suggests it has a full Jaguar service history however the online service record suggests Jaguar haven't seen it for 600+ days but there might be some paper records. HTTPS://osh.jaguar.com
The 2nd and 3rd service were added at the same time and as the 1st service was undertaken in Germany I presume the car was used over there quite a bit. Maybe.

MOT and PNC clear.

Not listed on insurance database so cannot lookup previous CAT damage.

Valued at £22,190 book price with options and mileage.

Appears on the internet in a few places like here.

TopiX details - I've added some notes were required. LESS means does not have.

Blimey fair play that amazing, and very useful, thank you, appears to be a different story to what the dealer is saying, I asked why it’s been off road since August and they said it was the owners car and had been in storage.
When it says Less etc etc does that mean it’s items that are often Standard?
