Hi Boys & Girls,

This is my first post. I'm a 56 years old psychologist living in Flanders (B) and will be ordering a new F-Type Coupe this week. This will be a company car and will 'serve' as an ADD (almost daily driver).

I'm in love with the F-Type since it came out way back in 2013, but the urge to buy a 911 was always stronger :D

So now I will get the 911 a British playmate. I hope they will like eachother :P

The only thing that's 'killing' me is the choice of external colour. I Think I'm going crazy. I'm leaning towards Carpathian Grey...but am still doubting. I'm planning to get Vossen HF3 wheels.

I will post my final decision.

AND THE DECISION IS: ORDERED :D (delivery july)

Greetings from Flanders

Renaat

Welcome to the club. Don't worry too much about the colour, the F-Type looks great in any colour!

Hello Renaat,

Good choice! I've got carpathian grey and it's a beautiful color. Afterthought, If you are neurotic about a clean car like me I would have chosen a different color :)
Hope to see you on Flander's road someday.

Thanks,

Sure, here you go.
I would suggest a PPF film on the full front. The road rash after two years is horrible.

Thanks. Ziet er goed uit 😄

I see your car is Ammonite Grey, is not Carpathian? I will have the F Type glasscoated, will consider PPF.

Right I got them confused again Ammonite is the same as Corris instead of Carpathian if I recall correctly
Carpathian is a bit darker so even more difficult to keep clean ;)
Sorry for the confusion

FYI: Glasscoats/Quartzcoats/Ceramic coasts do nothing to protect from stone damage. These cars have a magnetic attraction to stones...PPF is the only way to protect your paintwork, unless you don't intend to keep the car or care about stone chips of course.

Indeed, Carpathian is darker than Amonite, getting close to black, so yes should be a tad more difficult to keep clean.
This one had me hesitating:

Yes, ppf the front and the area behind the doors, at least. I had a professional ceramic coat on the non ppf areas, doesn't seem any better than Menzerna Power Lock Polymer Sealant, which I do like.
