The creasing on those seats is very unusual. It almost looks like they are elasticated covers put on over the top to protect the real seats underneath. There must be a story to what has happened here.

Here's a picture of my seats after 51,000km. The leather is usually tight like this on all the cars I have seen.

Good luck with getting your car.

I currently have found two f type that seem interesting.

First one
2014 V8S convertible with 32000km, my main complaint is about the seats which do not seem to be the performance ones. Did anybody ever see these type of seats before?
If you are happy with the car don't let the seats put you off, it will be a good bargaining point and you can get a good set from ebay Italy like this set in the link.

Definitely not a seat coming out of Jaguar factory. I've seen a similar seat rework on another f-type listed. They claimed it was original sport seats then upholstered by the owner to make them softier and more comfy. Probably same mod done on these ones. I'm sure if you call up the dealer they will be able to tell you.

As the girl says on the Taco ad, why not have one of each. Got to be honest I was torn too, ended up with the convertible because I could get it new, but do love the look of the coupe and the lines are a little better in my opinion. But roof down in nice weather has a lot to be said for it. As I said would love one of each.

Looks great and no doubt sounds brilliant. I will grab a V8 next time, just use it too much in traffic right now so a 4 made more sense.

Depends on use. As I said I think the coupe has nicer lines but in summer in Australia driving around with the roof down appealed to me especially in the small beachside village I live in. Yes commuting to work maybe a coupe would have made more sense but I can’t wait for next summer. Italy has some great coast roads for roof down driving but up to you.

If you’re not going to drop the roof whenever you can the visibility out of the convertible is worse than the coupe, and most would say the coupe looks better than the convertible with roof up. If you are going to drop the roof, the visibility is better, the sound is better and you get that lovely feeling of driving through where you’re going.

However, only you can know how you are going to use it and which you prefer so it can only be your choice, they’re both great cars.
