Hi all,

I'm still on the lookout for an ftype after my previous debacle (viewtopic.php?t=4925). Prices do seem to have gone up, but one particular example seems to be a bit silly.

This one:

I don't see many 400 sports pop up for sale near me, but this one is 56k.. That seems very high to me, do you guys agree? This one is a very late model 400 with low mileage and does basically look new.. But are all 400 sports the MY18 (i.e. no carplay)? Or are there revisions within that command a higher price etc?

Admittedly, the one I bought wasn't in the condition that this one appears to be, but surely that doesn't mean its worth nearly 12k more? Maybe im just too cheap :D

All 400 sports are MY18 or odd one MY18.5 (with Lane departure warning) with ICT Pro with physical buttons and no Car Play.

Most will be on 17 and 67 plates. Odd one may be on 18 plate. Anything on a later plate was made earlier and put into storage. I have seen a 19 plate for example.

Bog standard 400 sport. Car 49909 made end of March 2017.

Book price 49250 ish simply because its on a 19 plate even though it was 2 yrs old at time of being registered. If it was on a 17 plate it would be circ 41000 with no options.

£56K sounds very high to me. It's not far off what I paid 3yrs ago for mine, with only 1K on the clock.

Looks the part and the low mileage is appealing. I have just bought a 17 reg convertible admittedly with 27k miles. But £15k less with 2 years approved used warranty. Maybe I am too cheap as well, but we all want the best car we can get for the least amount of money. The car attracts me but the price frightens me off. Gratuitous pic of what I got for £41k

Sorry didn’t intend to be mean, What they are asking is what they would like, not what they would accept. As it is local to you go have a look, and offer them £48k.
They can only say no. :D

ImageI paid over the odds for mine but with the used car market over inflated and trying to find a silver 400 sport rwd convertible was not easy! Mine has 32k miles and I paid a steep 44 k!
