Sorry, but I disagree is so far as they have advised you it’s stuck and needs a specialist. If they have a second go and it snaps then it’s on you. If you don’t want the risk then it’s on you to take it elsewhere and settle up for work to date. You may be able to argue part reduction of labour and fluids if they don’t complete, but not half the bill.Banner77 wrote: ↑Fri Sep 08, 2023 2:01 pm Yep that’s how I see it’s, basically they had a look it’s seized and advised a specialist is required, now they are having another go so the balls back in their court if it snaps off a cylinder head is £2000 inc gasket the bill so far for fluids, diagnostic, new injector and labour is £1300 but I’m going to argue half the labour is then failing to complete the task they have quoted.
So it’s over to Jaguar now Monday Tuesday, it also seems to me the first time they looked was half hearted for them to re attempt.
Also is there a chance once the injector is swapped that there could be another issue ie head gasket, supercharger or would that show up on the original diagnosis I just want an end to it now and my car back
I think before a spanner touches it again you should get exact details agreed of responsibility, cost allocation, by step, etc.
If not then trailer to a specialist do do, but that’s inconvenient and takes time.
