You are at the right place to get a cheaper car. As a matter of interest, my P300 is 11 months old and has done 880 miles. It's trade in value is £27,000. The same dealers offering me £27,000 are selling them on the forecourt at £45,000 plus.

Although putting on the forecourt at £45k+ isn't actually the same as selling at £45k+ ...
But low offers are more indicative of dealers having a plentiful supply of used cars, rather than the true value of your car.

I have to be honest I wouldn't have bought an f type as a short term purchase, it had to be a keeper/long term car, otherwise the depreciation on it (and most cars of this standard) is heavy.

I always thought I would keep this car for many years but then Jaguar bring out a more affordable V8 and tempt me further with the fantastic yellow paint (at £4500!)

My original PCP gurantees the car is worth £23,000 when it is 4 years old so I know that if I do keep it, the car will only drop £4,000 over the next 3 years so basically it loses virtually all it's money in the first year.

I hardly ever drive it anyway so I better keep mine.

I think all cars, especially premium ones, suffer a massive depreciation hit in their first year.

I had a sales car as a courtesy car when mine was in for bits, it was a V8 R fully loaded with premium metallic paint and only 3k on the clock and they wanted £57k for it, that is a big loss for a 6 month old car.

So i’m looking for an F-Type coupe as the title suggests.
My budget is low 20 k maximum so I know I’ll be limited on colour and spec but I have seen a few around at around 20k so i’m hopeful one will come along.
