So i’m looking for an F-Type coupe as the title suggests.
My budget is low 20 k maximum so I know I’ll be limited on colour and spec but I have seen a few around at around 20k so i’m hopeful one will come along.

Hi Ianm
Welcome to the forum & good luck with your search. Whilst these can be picked up for low 20's, its not a low 20's car running cost wise - just want you to have the full picture (apologies if you have already looked into it)
Tyres - Roughly £700 for 4 (mileage & driving style dependant, Michelin Pilot Sport 4S are well recommended & can be had for £670 for 4)
Road Tax - £380 ish for the V6 each year
Insurance - £X not a cheap car to insure but all relative to age/location etc
Annual Servicing - £325 - £445 if main dealer & using the fixed price 3yr+ scheme
Brake Discs & Pads - £575 for fronts, £485 for rears (again main dealer prices, shop around and a good indy will prob do for half this)
Any other serviceable items - brake fluid service, spark plugs etc
If you have taken all the above into consideration then happy days and absolutely go for it!
then the only cost you need to worry about is fuel!

Hi thank you for the info, i’m very lucky that a very good friend owns a garage and does me mates rates, I’ve had Range Rovers, Merc SL500, various Porsche’s And numerous Jags etc over the years and none have broken my spirit......yet, might eat my words but let’s hope not.
Thankfully I do very few miles so consumables don’t tend to cost me to much, although rear tyres on the SL500 were frightening.
I’m hoping the F-Type will be more economic than my TDV8 Range Rover was at 18mpg but actually I only do around 300 miles a month so even then it’s not a huge expense.

You are at the right place to get a cheaper car. As a matter of interest, my P300 is 11 months old and has done 880 miles. It's trade in value is £27,000. The same dealers offering me £27,000 are selling them on the forecourt at £45,000 plus.
