After having my wheels refurbished, I’ve found one of the titanium torx screws has gone missing!

I have found similar replacement on ebay, but before I buy new I was wondering if anyone had a scrap wheel they could remove a screw from and send it to me?

I will of course pay postage and a pint!

Let me know if you can help. Manchester UK before any of our overseas friends offer!

I would check that the stud wasn’t sheared off. Common issue that on allows they corrode and shear when restoring.
Used to happen all the time on Z4’s
Some were sold with sheared head of studs glued or attracted a £50 drill out charge

Yes it has sheared. I can see the tail in the hole. I can extract it, but still need a new screw.

I’m a bit peeved the restorer didn’t say anything! Also had a tyre valve leak causing a pressure warning. The washer on the valve sensor was trapped.

No luck with scrap wheel. So drilled out the broken tail. Carefully with progressive drills starting with 3mm up to 6mm.

Got a few BBS screws from eBay that are just about the same as the Jaguar items.

Now waiting on a 7mm tap to clear the threads out.

Hey GARETH!

How did you get on removing the thread stuck in there then? I’m about to tackle this same problem myself. 😔

Found this single replacement on eBay? D’you reckon it’ll be okay?
