Will be putting it on eBay soon.

They are not the same diameter. I happened upon a near new V8 back box at a good price and later discovered it would have needed sleeving to fit. Not difficult and on a previous car I have made just such a conversion. For various reasons including the fact that a box designed for a 5l has a different flow than a 3l and the likelihood that the sound would not be correctly tuned to the V6 I decided not to convert.

In terms of the question re pricing since I sold the V8 for Β£500 logic, tells me a V6 should be cheaper than that, but I guess it's supply and demand

Is the V6 internals more complicated than the V8?

Doesn't the V8 bypass bypass the whole of the box rather than going through it like the V6?

So been into the garage when I got home from work to measure the diameter of the pipes of the v8 back box I have and they too measure 48mm internal and 54mm outside so if the measurements are correct for the v6 one they are both the same diameter
