Just had a message from Jaguar saying my car is being called in for a free software enhancement. Anyone else had one or knows what it is?

Yes I had a message from my dealer saying service due and a recall on the infotainment was due, needs a software update apparently. Not sure if this enhances it or fixes something but I've not had anything wrong with it. Will put it in towards the end of the month so hopefully know more then.

I had this done with my first years service a couple of weeks ago.
I've not noticed any significant difference, but there again with the current weather I've hardly been out in it since.

However I was warned I would lose all my radio presets.
It actually turned out worse than that, every personal setting was lost, e.g. Phone connection, over speed limit warning.
Even the date and time were reset to 2014.

Not a huge issue, but be aware when you pick it up from the service dept.

Thanks for that, away at the moment but will phone the dealer when I get home. Going for it's first service in April so will probably get it done then.

Had mine done couple of weeks ago, I was told it is connected to the service indicator on the dash .... mine still sounds the same thankfully

The Service Indicator fix has been out for some considerable time. You can also reset this display at home if you wish

Markku - Can you look at the works order sheet that the dealer should have given you, and tell me what/if there is a number associated with the update please?
I should be able to then find the details of what's been done.
