my F type has the 16 way adjustable memory seats. For a short drive of maybe 45 mins, as in a test drive, they are fine but for a full days driving the drivers seat becomes painful. The problem seems to be that the centre panel is soft offering little support but the edge on the drivers door side is hard and you end up with a hip joint on either of the two side bolsters. In other words your weight is mostly being born by the hard side bolsters. Driving to and fro from Le Mans for a full day at a time it became very uncomfortable.

I am 5'10" weighing 77kg so for anyone wondering I am not a fat arses bloater. Pretty average build in fact. So do other find the same issue or are my seats faulty in some way. If others have found the same thing, have they found a solution?

Howard,

Did you try deflating the bolsters ? I have the MY2019 standard seats. So I had inflatable bolsters retro-fitted.
I get the same problem if I over-inflate the bolsters. And I'm 6'5" and 103Kg..
Not fat, but huge... [ XXXL shirts for my shoulders..].

Hi Dan. Like to follow up retrofitting the bolster. Was it something your jag dealer did? Are the bits standard fittings? My impression is that the center panel of the seat is too soft / thin so was thinking of building that up.

Hi Howard,
Jaguar doesn't do this stuff. I went to a car upholstery specialist. There are standard elements for bolsters and lumbar support.
Either inflatable by hand or electroniclly with a pump. My experience is that manually works fine ; you set it once. It settles in a bit,
so maybe on a long trip you have to inflate it a bit extra.

For me the bolsters, fitted under the original upholstery without any adaptions, cost € 245.
Maybe ask your dealer if they know a trustworthy shop.

Mine had sports with the 14 way ... without this you cannot fully adjust the seats ... it did take a good few weeks into ownership before I finally found the right setting and combination of back/side inflation, plus (and this is the adjustment some have missed) the in/out adjustment of the side bolsters. Based on your description it does sound as though you need to ‘fiddle’ a little longer with the bolster adjustment whilst maybe adding some rear cushion inflation ...

@Senninha

The side bolsters work like : turn the button to inflate or deflate..
The lumbar support works 4-ways. Push the button under memory 3 up and the support goes up, down and it goes down.
To inflate push it forward and backward to deflate..

thanks for the reply. mine are described on the build sheet as 14 way, and the control you highlight only seems to affect the side bolsters to the backrest not the seat squab. Its the squab that the problem.
