Just wondering if there is any way of obtaining and fitting an SVR style spoiler to the non SVR F-Type?

As the SVR is a deployable (or moveable might be a better word) spoiler integrated with the electronics of the SVR, I would think that is highly unlikely.

It might be possibel (most things are), but probably very expensive IF you could find anyone with the knowledge and equipment to do the job. I would think it involves (in addition to the spoiler itselves) some hardware electronics and new software - which probably is spesific for the SVR.Arne2016-07-14 14:00:35

The do have a Jaguar fit fixed spoiler for other models that looks similar but i doubt the SVR one will fit as it moves with motors etc.

The electrics would all need re doing sadly and the spoiler is made of solid carbon fibre so an extremely expensive bit of kit from Jag!

Old post I know but info might be useful to others

But I have done this today

Very easy but expensive

You will need to by the mech from JLR as used ones just don’t come up.

You can get the spoiler and cover from fleabay for a good price

Plug and play - Took an hour. No special tools required. Elec Connectors fit

Did you fit it on a coupe or convertible?

Got the mechanism and the cover plate that replaces the old spoiler from a landrover dealer (PM for details) £1400 delivered. The spoiler is available from a number of people on eBay for as little as £500.

For the convertible it’s easy. Pop the boot, remove the carpet trim cover, undo the nuts, disconnect the motor plug. Remove the brake light cover, remove the Alan bolts. Couple of rubber bits that the boot lid seats onto hide the last 2 nuts. Then pull out the whole assembly. As Haynes say, fitting is the reverse.

Took an hour to do the whole thing.

Don’t believe the dealers .... no programming required. New motor has same connector as original.

Picture of finished install and of the part numbers for the convertible. Would imagine the coupe is exactly the same process BUT has different part numbers as the stantions are closer to the centre than the rag top.

This really is very easy to do ....... just expensive

Nice project - well done
I think you should remove names that assisted as they will get in serious trouble with JLR
Just give such details by PM
