First stupid question

After driving on the paddles in 'S' I stop, move the stick to 'D' and the engine stops. This is annoying what am I doing wrong please ?

It's the auto stop start I suspect - does releasing the brake make the engine start again? There should be a button on the centre console with A and a circle round it, with an orange light showing stop start is active. Push the button, light should go off and the engine will stay running!

Hello .. yes you can just turn it off, this mod permanently disables the auto start stop feature

I had no idea there was such a mod! Very tempted. I really like stop start in my van as it's all about economy and boring miles. But in the F-type it just feels wrong so every time I get in it I do two things... Loud exhaust on and stop start off!

...that is true, but of course you can just plug the harness back in and you have the ECO mode back if you so wish (for sales or servicing for instance).

Need to do this myself annoys the heck out of me every time I stop at a junction and the thing stops, until I remember to push the button.

It's a fuel saving measure but it can be irritating in slow moving traffic - in which case just turn it off.
