Hi,

I am a new F Type owner and member here. Glad to have found this great forum.

I have searched all over to find a straight answer for this and now I am hoping that I might be able to get some clarification on this question by experienced owners as yourselves. Please excuse me if this question has been asked, if it has I would appreciate someone pointing me to the thread.

I have a 2014 F type Standard 340PS 3.0 Model which has the standard 18" Vela Alloys

I have fell in love with the Storm Black/Diamond cut 20" alloys and I have sources a set which I am so close to buying however I have a compatibility worry since these are made for the R model. I also searched on wheel guides which said the following alloys measurements would fit on my model:

3.0i
Trim Tire Rim Bolt Pattern THD CB
245/45R18 / 275/40R18 8.5Jx18 ET49 / 9.5Jx18 ET27 5x108 M12 x 1.5 63.4
245/40ZR19 / 275/35ZR19 8.5Jx19 ET49 / 9.5Jx19 ET27
245/35ZR20 / 285/30ZR20 8.5Jx20 ET45 / 10Jx20 ET25

However these Storm alloys have these specs

255 / 35 ZR 20 97Y / 295 / 30 ZR 20 101Y 9Jx20CH x 55 / 10.5Jx20CH x 38 7.2mm & 66.3mm Tread / 5.5mm & 6.1mm Tread

Does anyone know if they will still fit my Model? I have been hearing that they would fit but no definite confirmation yet

Also since they are sold with ceramic breaks and mine does not have, I do not know if that would be an issue also?

ANY help will do wonders!

Thanks so much in advance to everyone who can take the time to help

Cheers

Hi,

The following link may help to answer your question:-

viewtopic.php?t=1393

The offsets at 55 and 38 are exactly the same as my 20 inch Gyrodyne wheels so they should be just fine. The tyre sizes on the wheels you are looking to buy are also exactly the same as I have. If you decide to go ahead it's best to advise your insurer about the change. Made no difference to my premium but it's noted on the policy as,if you don't let them know, they could claim that the car was modified without their knowledge!

Hope this helps.

I did see that thread however there was no definite conclusion they would fit. Also the poster did not state what model he had as according to the wheel size guide I checked at ( https://www.wheel-size.com/ ) - It does show different sizes for different models and if he had a 3.0 S or 5.0 it shows different fits.

This is why I asked here. So you have the standard 3.0 as mine and fitted the same new wheels with success?? :D :D

You're welcome - that's what this forum is all about, drawing on other owners experiences and helping each other out. When I upgraded to DC Gyrodynes I had a question about TPMS and received lots of helpful pointers from other forum members. We are a friendly bunch and that makes this forum the best resource for owners questions IMHO.

Do post some pictures once you get them fitted - we like pictures!!
