Has anyone fitted one of these or knows of any outcomes?

I'm interested but don't want to screw anything up with it

Can it be done by any knowledgible mechanic or must be a jag dealer?

Cheers

There are a couple on here who’ve has it done. Alistair63 will give you the info V6 wise.

I’d be wanting a company with proven knowledge/experience to carry out this work. Have a look at David Appleby Engineering.

Im not in the UK thats the problem. Tehre is only 1 jag dealer here and I doubt they would be happy to do this. Hence why I asked how "hard" it would be

I would appreciate any info/experiences about this ECU tune from anyone

The ECU tune will be easy, you just plug the box in and follow the instructions. From what I have read about VAP they retain all of the jaguars inbuilt safety parameters.

Please note I've not done this yet on my ftype but I have on other cars with no issue at all.

Depending on where you are, have you thought of a road trip to the UK to include the upgrade whilst here? Then you'll have the joy of the ride home ...
