We share an office with another company. We have 4 car parking spaces they have two... They are nice people, with a sense of humour.

A couple of them are car people, one of them is also a smoker. He smokes in the carpark. Usually next to his car, which is next to mine.

The look on his face when I remote started it ;) By the time he'd come in to tell us I'd stopped it and we are denying all knowledge.

Poor chap he thinks he's going mad.

I do miss remote starting my XE with heated seats and front screen and waving s little hi through the window to my neighbour stood there scraping away 😬
Walk out 5 mins later and drive off while he’s still stood there 😂

I often plip mine from across the carpark if folks are peering in the windows. They jump a mile! :)

Hehe. Now that does sound like fun!

I have used remote start a few times just for the novel factor... Car is always garaged so don't really have the need.

However, I find it takes too long. Even at home with a 50mb fibre broadband connection it takes a good 30 seconds or more after pressing the button. Then when I've been in other areas not on wifi it takes well over a minute. Sometimes I wonder if the car's own connectivity is poor. Does anyone know what network they use?

Mine is fine in Cambridge, more or less instant. Out in the sticks it takes a bit longer.
