Sorry to ask so many tyre/wheel questions! Last one I promise :D

I'm buying a V6S but today I picked up some new 20" alloys for it. The wheels are genuine SVR wheels...

Hopefully the image above works correctly.

My question is...

The tyres the SVR would take are:
265/35/20 and 305/30/20 front/back

The recommended size for the V6S is:
255/35/20 and 295/30/20

So I'm a little at a loss as to which tyre size to go with. I don't want to change the gearing but don't know if I'd be stretching the tyres if I go with the current size on the SVR rim.

Has anyone done this or does anyone have advice as to which I should be buying?

EDIT:

I've just done a search on the alloys included with my car.

Standard non-SVR wheels are:

Front: 20x9
Rear: 20x10.5

(according to the internet... I don't have the car to confirm)

The SVR wheels...

Front: 20x9
Rear: 20x11.0

Stretch would be minimal due to the low profile but there will be a touch as the rims are quite wide.

In theory SVR tyres are a marginally taller wall, so better comfort, more grip and taller gearing so better economy too but maybe offset by the wider contact patch causing more friction.

As to how much of an issue this will cause with the cars traction control system from running a taller tyre is unknown. Only someone who is a tech at Jaguar would know but to be honest I think you will be fine as the cars traction system will be look at front to rear wheel speed and that percentage will still be identical to the stock sizes so if the case then get the SVR sizes.

Also make sure you get Michelin PS4S tyres as the stock Pzero tyres are not that good, particular in wet whereas Michelin are far superior and also last longer too.

Thanks, definitely going down the PS4S route without a doubt. I'm going to be selling my 20" tornado alloys with P-Zeros which are coming with the car and hopefully switching to the SVR wheels with Michelins.

I don’t suppose there’s a colour code on those wheels anywhere is there?
Need to get my black wheels refurbed and would prefer this grey to black.

Yes the colour is technical grey and you can obtain the paint from

Thanks for finding that.

It looks very dark and dull compared to your wheels above.
Could be the thickness of the spoke that make it look like that thoug

The paint has several layers of clear lacquer applied which gives it the look of the wheels above. This is 100% the correct paint for the "Grey" SVR wheels ;)

May I ask where the black ‘growler’ wheel centres are from?

20 x 11's on my V8R's Forged Blades. Standard are 265/35/20 front and 295/30/20 rear.

265/35/20 and 305/30/20 rears are the way to go according to all the reading I have done on the US forums as well.

If you run 17mm spacers and are lowered on AP springs then you will have to roll the wheel arch lip to prevent rubbing with the slightly wider 305's at the rear.
