Ha yes it’s filthy, but it gets used as and when
Giving it a good wash tomorrow
Certainly doesn’t need detailing though - had it done in October and it’s got a ceramic coating on it - all that crap just falls off without any effort :D

I dropped Wheel Specialists Notts an email today - I have some light curbing just on the edge of my alloys.

They quoted £180 per wheel as the outer edges are diamond cut (regardless of just damage to the outer rim) !

More expensive than i thought so i am going to ring around the east midland area. Any more recommendations would be great.

Crikey - it’s only costing me £450 for a full strip down and refurb!

After owning a Mercedes with diamond cut alloys, never again. If you don't damage them they often corrode under the lacquer anyway, cost a fortune to refurb. and the refurbs. don't last (most refurb. companies have a very much shorter guarantee for diamond cuts).

Just picked the car up - happy with the result.
Slightly darker than I expected but I think it works well.
Great service from Wheel Specialist
The satin laquer has a lovely feel to it - and from experience is more robust than gloss.

To my mind, those look so much better than black. Very classy.

Zyp, I have the identical car (OK, two cylinders less) and absolutely love your wheels. MPS4s as well - heaven!

I absolutely agree, plus it shows of details I had not seen in those wheels before, the soft sweeping detail onto the larger spoke ... great job!
Storm Grey V6 coupe, fun, fast, popping and crackling with smiles all the way ... missed more than I expected!

Ive had several Mercedes sets replaced under warranty due to this lacquer issue ... for the last set they were out of warranty so I had them done at Lepsons who now give 12 months on the diamond cut finish ... 2 yrs on and still look as good as when picked up ...

So if you have and want to retain diamond cut worth enquiring ...
