Sat Nav Not Obtaining Correct Position

Just wondering if anyone else has had any weird sat nav issues today?

Mine seems to think it is about 20 miles away from where i actually am!

The green icon that represents the car moves as you drive along and every now and then the car jumped around the map but no where near i actually was. Very annoying.

Ive been around the country today and done 4 trips. Same issue each time.

Sounds like the antenna? If it's the convertible it's in the boot lid..

Coope. If it does it tomorrow ill call the dealer to have a look. Bloody annoying not having it today. Typical that when you need it, it doesnt work lol

Just a quick update. Sat nav is still showing about 20 miles from actual position.

In addition since last tuesday the remote app (and online incontrol website) shows the incorrect position of the car.

The remote is correctly reporting range, odometer, journeys, locked status and remote start but last parked location is "unknown".

When you pull up the journeys on the app are the routes showing correctly?
As in not going across fields etc etc?
If they are not showing properly then as you suspect the car isn't sure where it is.
If they are ok then there seems to be a glitch with the nav.
It might be worth speaking to customer services first in case it's something they know a reset procedure for otherwise speak to the dealer.

The journeys show the correct duration, miles, duration, mpg but the map just shows the car didnt move. The start and end times are right but it says vehicle location unknown.

Sounds like it may well be an antenna issue or some kind of software problem.
I was having aggravation with the app recently not loading journeys etc but there's a reset for the app info which I did to kind of re-pair it with Jag incontrol but throughout that my nav was fine so obviously a separate system.
I think the dealer needs to have a look.

Discussed with service desk at dealer and they think it is a gps/antenna issue so have booked it in for 2 days in a couple of weeks.

It's got worse!

Intermittent sat nav, remote pro saying car location unknown and now data connection not available plus head unit keeps freezing and when it does no buttons at all work, including volume on steering wheel for example.

It's now at garage, got a XF diesel, it's got a bit of poke at around 2000 rpm......

Its back after 2 days and all sorted.

Issue was telematics unit.

Very impressed with dealer and service department for attention to detail.
