Stumbled across an Auto Express review of the F-Type, and in it this was mentioned -

‘The clever gearbox software allows you to select second gear for an upcoming corner before you've actually slowed enough for the transmission to engage it’

Does it, and how do you do this?
With the paddles?

New one on me.

Rev the knackers off it in 3rd then change down - that should do it :)

Perhaps they've fitted a Wilson pre-selector box without telling us.
2017MY F Type Coupe, Caldera Red, 19 Centrifuges, Pan Roof, Leather memory heated seats, Parking pack. Also 1957 XK150 FHC.

Yes you can use the paddles to change down early and the car will action the command once the revs are at the required level. (no idea how long the time delay lasts)
