Stereo Upgrade?

Hi All,

After a quick search through the forum it's clear I'm not the only one dissatisfied with the quality of the sound system. Yes I know "why listen to music when.... etc...". I generally feel exactly the same. However, I do like to listen to music in the car sometimes as well as the exhaust note.

I've got the basic system. Bought the car used so not what I would have specified and tbh didn't even think about it when looking at the car - which I love btw. The question: Has anyone gone the route of upgrading the speakers only or another relatively low-cost option?

also noticed on that link a lot of apple car play upgrades going on across all makes

I find the tyre noise intrudes on the sounds. The Pirellis fitted are quite loud on many surfaces. I listen to noise reducing headphones quite a lot, it works for me. Yes it's safe, I can still hear sirens and horns, and the quality is as good as Bluetooth can achieve.

Gasman2 - do you know how much for that upgrade? I have the 770w stereo and I think it is rubbish. Jag have done the updated work on it and it still sounds pants.
