E-Type majority with wooden steering wheel..

As I google "e type interior " I did get SOME aluminium dashpanels, but also 70% of the interiors had a WOODEN steering wheel..

So, wood HAS been an integral part of the Jaguar heritage.. .. and YES they 'over-did-it' some times, I agree..

I just don't think it looks right at all in a modern car like the F-type. Each to their own!

Well, the 2-L F-Type has a SOA engine. The V6 and V8 are the SAME setup as any ICE car as from 1900... ... how do you mean 'modern'...

I seem to have upset the OP. Yes, I should have included the DHC XK120/140s, the more sporting OTS and all XK150s were wood free but the later cars I see as tourers and the wood rim steering wheel in the E Type is not really relevant. My real point was that from a heritage angle, inspiration for the F Type came from the E Type and, therefore I feel, aluminium is most apt (and before you say, yes it was dropped for the 4.2). I don't dislike the wood trim you show, but there's not much argument for it from a heritage perspective.

I never had wood in any car ... and could not imagine it would go well with corris grey.

But hey ... Blue metallic and beige seats ... that could be a match

Hi Roger... ..not beige.. ..flashlight changes the colour to more yellowish..

In the picture - critics- can see the 'wood' is matte, not shiny and has a pattern on it, like a wooden gun handle..

Its no more then modest, basic, "cirrus" interieur, that looks like matte white alcantara in daylight..

So compare the color combination with snow and a blue skye with wooden chalet.. .. matches eeh [ picture below]..

I can even see a little piece of corris grey wall below the wood of the chalet..

Roger, I can do even better to image the colours for you.. ..found a corris grey D4 with wood &beige interior..
