Good Afternoon peeps,

So I got my F-Type back from the body shop on Friday after a week and a half of "black packing" my white V6 Coupe.
I, as most, was slightly concerned about someone other than Jaguar taking my car apart, but I decided to bite the bullet and go for it.
Parts I had sprayed were:

-Front grille surround
-Grille middle bar
-Front lower valance
-Side vents
-Window surrounds
-Rear bumper valance/splitter
-Wing mirrors

Nothing was sprayed in situ, all parts were removed, prepped and sprayed off of the car for a perfect finish. Which as you can imagine took some time but the finish speaks for itself.

In the end I paid around £1500 for the full treatment, a fairly considerable saving over Jaguar OE. Keep in mind the window surrounds supplied alone are that price!

I can highly recommend Tony, he is a really nice and honest guy with impeccable attention to detail. Feel free to give him a shout if you fancy the same treatment. He is based in Kent, Sheerness to be exact.

Love black pack on car vs lots of chrome that can look so naff, or old skool depending on how you see it :)

It will be interesting to see how well spray paint holds up on chrome as it’s a real challenge to make it stick. What did he do to prep it?

I am not entirely sure to be honest sir! He mentioned a "way" they do it to make sure it sticks, but did not go into much more detail. See how it goes I guess....

It does look good on a white car !

When I got my Ultra Blue I was disappointed as in sunny weather the colour is bleak. Then I had a ceramic coating applied, that made it a tone darker. In clouded weather [ 75% of the daylight in NL..] if looks fab..

Now I invested in the chrome hoodvents as it looked great in the configurator. But for real the blue is so much lighter. If I had known I would have taken a blackpack too, even while friends & family say the chrome is great...
