310 mile 2016 Firesand SVR
Just wondered what people's thoughts are on this car? It was a static demo so presumably on display somewhere, been assured it wasn't some track demo car! So, 310 miles, a car 'sold' in Feb 2016 car but only registered with DVLA in November 2017, I've never come across that scenario before. Two years approved used warranty and essentially a new car, albeit a 2017MY up for £76,990. I was sure I wanted a 2018MY but bailed on the caldera as wasn't sure on the colour or mileage, this is a different proposition for similar money... Thanks to jimbobc for pointing it out, it certainly catches the eye in that colour and spec, circa £132,000 going by Topix spec sheet...
65 plate ?
JLR pre-production car
Ask to see the V5 and look at the notes section on the bottom of the front page.
I would inspect it VERY carefully ... it’s probably been pulled apart and put back together about 4 times over

F-TYPE R, Carbon Ceramics + Forged Wheels, ALL the Carbon Fibre - Mirrors, Side Power Vents, Bonnet Vents, Front Splitter & Interior Console
Could you elaborate on exactly what you mean, not familiar with the pre production implications? What exactly would I be looking for on the notes, thanks in advance..
It is and they do
I bought one. 63 plate R coupe ... customer production started on 14 plate.
The car was built in 2016 but was registered in 2017 but it must have a age related plate.
The V5 will tell you that it had manual Type approval as it was pre-production

Pre-production means the car is built before Job 1. Job 1 is when the production line start rolling.
Given the mileage, it must have been used as a static car ... perhaps display around the world, but equally could have been used for technical purposes to perfect production methods
