Never realized I had only a few posts in this forum. I will attempt to rectify that deficiency. Another note about that high MPG tank was that it was on 93 ethanol-free octane which may have had some effect on the efficiency

For starters the ECU mapping is different as is the torque and HP output, so I think it'll make the V8 figures meaningless. Like for like comparisons work.

Did another long trip this weekend. End destination was at even higher in altitude than where we started. Distance travelled was 172 km with ac on in warm weather (to much trafic made it more fun to see how "cheap" the F-type R could be).

Result was 7.5 litres / 100 km = 37.66 mpg (UK).

Well done nadabunka, Your figure is so close to Arne's new figure, that I've decided you two are tied for the V8R at the moment.

Come on all you V6 and 300 owners. Plan your next trip properly and you could get a real eye-opening result!

Free extra hint: If you need the aircon on during a hypermiling run, keep the fan as low as you can while staying comfortable.

I'm off out for a blast...

Sounds like the right decission :)

ps: you must also change the l/km figure (from 7.95 to 7.5 ;) )

Have a great blast!
