Fully laden for a weekend away. The most economical car I have ever owned. Its usually around 26mpg overall.

Did a decent run today with a full load (2 adults plus full boot, maybe 220 kg) on my P300.
Avg speed rather higher than many postings here but economy still very good. P-Zero tyres at 37psi.

My V8 uses more fuel than that with the engine off!
Awesome consumption figure.

Did the reverse journey to the one above and got the same result near enough!
Same load, same tyre pressures.
All premium fuel E5 which should deliver slightly better MPG then E10 while we buy the stuff in litres, not kg.

Interesting but doesn't all this seem a little sad ;)
If I seriously cared about mpg I'd just take my child murdering Diesel, drive it like a nun with 9 points and coast everywhere. But this is a 340 hp cat and the more fuel and rubber I use up and the louder I make it, the bigger my grin

Of course, but it’s fun to see what these engines can do; the P300 is clearly optimised for motorway driving.
When opened up, the results are very different.

Some fabulous, empty driving roads in Northumbria, well worth the journey for jaded Southerners.

I had a gentle drive with full luggage and passenger. Pretty good mpg for a 5L R.
