I've just booked my 1st service online, and I discovered I have a service plan. :o
Waiting to speak to dealer tomorrow about what it covers exactly.

I also enquired about preventative maintenance on rear cross brace, and painting rear brake calipers so they don't look so crap compared to front ones... cheekily asked about this being done under warranty.

Don't ask. Don't get. ;)

Thats a result! Will save you a fortune!

Are the rear calipers a different colour on the 400 then? I hadnt noticed that.

They have some black but look unfinished and cheap - see this topic, which includes pictures:

My old TTS had better rear calipers. :shock:

Yay! That's great, a free service plan. If it's the standard one for new cars It should cover everything apart from brake pads and tyres.

That's what I'm hoping, Mick.

I've really lucked out with this car! Goes to show that a little patience pays off in the end.

I had the same surprise when I bought mine ... its a great feeling rocking up to the dealer, handing them the keys knowing that they will do everything as they’ve already been paid ... and you should find that if there’s any warranty work needed they just crack on with it ...

Ref the Calipers, does seem a shame they didn’t get coated as well as up front ... hope the dealer might change them, if not, maybe a contribution to a professional paint??

@Senninha,
Indeed... I'm looking forward to a 0 balance on the invoice, unless I have to pay for what I consider to be "warranty" work. ;)

@AdrianL,
Already had ceramic coat - see viewtopic.php?f=21&t=2719&p=24749 :mrgreen:

That's nice to have, but there is something very reassuring about being able to quizz the service rep with your credit card in your hand upon collection of the car.

Mine had this when I bought it at 9 months old. Lovely feeling having no service costs for 3 years & a tracker too!
