This is one of those rare occasions when it's an advantage being a short-arse like me!

I tried all seat variants while test-driving, and all were incredibly comfortable.

And I can concur that the new performance seats are amazing - even with a wallet in my back pocket.
Also, being short, I can move the seat far enough forward to create enough space for my laptop & man-bag behind it.
Result. ;)

P.S.
Sorry to those who are struggling to find that "sweet spot". Hope you get it resolved.

I test drove the F Type with the normal sports seats and could not stand them. I found them supremely uncomfortable. My F Type S has the performance seats and they are just what the doctor ordered. I'm 6'3" and 280+ lbs. I find they are just firm enough and give me good support (no painful bits). Now, if I could find a way to get into the car without having to turn into some form of origami art (when I can't open the door 100%), things will be great, ha!

My seats on the factory build sheet are described as 14 way electric seats. No mention of "performance" or "sports". I guess they are the standard seats. Interestingly I called in our local useless dealer and had a look at the new cars in stock. The standard seat on current models had a wider seat squab - 12 in rather than 10in and the side bolsters rise at a shaper angle. That felt more comfortable but a few minutes in a seat isnt sufficient to judge. My current seats only start to hurt after an hour or so.

Anyway, thatnks for the responses. It seems that no one else has the same issue

P.S. Just checked with the brochure. My seats are the standard ones that Jaguar call "Sports Seats".

Took a while to find the sweet spot, no pedal offset issue or hard bolster.

Only uncomfortable bit is the rediculous seam that runs right down the middle of the seat squab.

That said, they are starting to soften and bed in.

Are you shure you don't have the performance seats Tel?

I thought the V8 came with the performance seats as standard?
Well spotted Arne, of course they are the Performance seats.
