I found this on another forum ;

https://topix.landrover.jlrext.com/topi ... lookupForm

You can regsiter for free as a private person, enter your cars VIN and see what's on it..
You can download two pdf's with data from your car.

Also You can see if there are active issues.. 8-)

I discovered that my 'build' infotainment is 'SD-card' . while I have 'in-control-touch-pro' . Al be it in a 'lame & limited' version with no
WiFi hotspot, no webbrowser, no OTA updates for maps, no 60Gb SSD but 8Gb... Mods that probably cost more to impose then they
will ever safe in dough for JLR... I do seem to have "..AUTONOMOUS EMERGENCY BRAKING .." . So I am going to try it out soon,

RIP...

Topix is quite well-known across the forums.
Many have registered as "independent Operators" to keep an eye on outstanding campaigns/updates etc.
Some have even paid up for a short term facility to download docs for repairs etc.
But, one thing that is notoriously inaccurate is the list of extras/specs etc on your particular car.
I apparently have the "Croatian literature pack" and "Less spare wheel"
Well I do have a spare and it sits under the boot floor!
So don't panic if you see things in the specs you either don't have or you do but it says you don't!

I wouldn't Dan.
You will probably crash!
:D
It's one of those things people talk about driving at cardboard boxes etc to test it, but if you read the manual there are no guarantees it will work if you drive at a wall or whatever.
Be glad you have it and be surprised if it ever activates as trust me, you will definitely know about it!

Hi PhilB,

You missed the subtitle .. " RIP  " ,

but thanks for your concern

I have been thinking about testing it with an inflated plastic bag of 5M³ or so,

but then I realised it might trigger the pedestrian airbags under the hood locks...

Actually I am not a fan of this sytems, as when carjackers realise this, they don't even need
a gun to stop you, they just push someone in front of your car..

A brick in their hand, next to your window is all they need then...

But in many countries fire arms are more common then bricks I suppose...
