I had this issue on my previous car and hoped it would be better with the F-Type... apparently not!

Does it help if the remote climate is put on full blast for a while before you get in it?

Ah, I hadn't thought of that - well worth a try!

Another vote for Gummi pflege :D Regarding reverse dip, if you have memory seats, firstly cancel the reverse dip in the menu, then set the dip to the position you want then use one of the other memories to lock it in. So when reversing just choose that memory setting & the mirrors will adjust to that

I discovered the other day that it’s possible to set the heated rear window to come on automatically on cold mornings (once engine started). It’s in the climate menu. 2016MY.

Yeah, front (if fitted) and rear come on below 5 degrees C

Yep. I discovered that front + rear automatically switch on too. Nice feature.

Well, that wouldn't make much difference at all...
It made all the difference to my XKR, no foldback so no unusable frozen mirrors.

The dip on reverse is another pain on the F-Type - on the XKR you could set the dip how you liked and it would remember it. On the F-Type it's a fixed setting and is too low for my taste, you can adjust it "on-the-fly" but it can't be saved. The F-Type is much better overall than the XKR (IMO) but the XKR did a few things better.
Seems as it might be an option on later cars?

Our MY16 remembers where to dip the mirror and its totally user adjustable...

Remote apps is very good to warm the cabin before trying to gain cabin access.

Yeah, losing the option to save was a later "improvement". :(
