Basically the same car. I think it's time for a bigger change.

The question we are all asking is:

Will the "rally-style centre stripe on the steering wheel" match the orange of the flappy-paddles?

I like my silver flappy paddles, I think the orange looks a bit tacky.

Seems to be a few options added that were available anyway. The only difference is the badge and a red stripe around the top of the steering wheel and a couple of SVR parts for the R. Looks a bit like an end of production ‘special’ using up existing parts - new model for 2021 MY? (End 2019 in jag terms!)

Agree - ripped out all that tacky orange and replaced it with much more classy ally and silvered parts
Happened upon a new SVR steerimg wheel so that was the motivation to finish the job

As for 2020 MY before People are even adjusted to Autmm ‘18 is marketing gone mad

As explained in one of my previous posts the Model Year is always one year ahead of the actual year. 400 sport were model 18 and 18.5 but calender year was 2017. Cars this year are model 19 and 19.5 has always been that way. Makes not difference or reason but why worry be happy...

Yes you’ve always seen the next MY announced in Autum, but a MY 20 in 18 is 2 years ahead. Not a question of worrying, just laugh at the addiction that car manufacturers are hooked on. Just like the preregistration crack cocaine dealers live on

Still people who buy cars on PCP and personal leases can now spend next years income on a car that isn’t yet built.
I must be getting old as last years income largely pays for this years cars :)

CJ, agree you will be able to order a MY20 in 18 but it will not be delivered until after Feb 19. So really only a year early. If you go into the dealership they will let you order a MY 20.5 to! That's for delivery August 2019.

Can you clarify the ".5" model year?
This is the only forum where I've seen mention of a half-year change of model/spec?
Was this a one-off with the F-Type to introduce new tech half-way through the model year?
The rest of the Jaguar range introduce the new model year in the spring around March and then that's it until the next year.
Just curious.
