Auto lamp delay

Hi everyone,

Had “Auto Lamp Delay” message displayed twice this week after turning engine off on arrival to my office,

Auto lights had indeed been on as it was raining at the time, never had this message before does it indicate a fault please?

Message not been on again since and auto lights seem to be working,

It’s still under warranty but don’t want to take it in to the dealer unless I really need to,

Any help would be appreciated, thanks in advance,

Hmm - isn't that when you have the headlights set to illuminate your path to the front door, rather than to come on when driving if dark?

...if only they worked properly in the fog and bright sunshine too!

On older cars it was direct on the rotating headlight switch but i think on newer ones it will be in your menu settings.

Completely normal.

If you have your headlights on auto and they have been on during your journey then they remain on when you switch the ignition off and a message is displayed saying auto lamp delayed.

The lights will stay on for however long you configured it for.

Ok thanks, yes I set the headlights on Auto since I bought the car but I’ve just never seen the message displayed before so wanted to check,
