Hi All,

anyone know if the F-type SVR has an engine cover. The reason i ask is that i have just had some warranty work and the technician asked where my engine cover was.

i said that's how the car was supplied (shows the aluminium top of the engine) so i'm not sure they put a cover on the SVR like they do the R model?

anyone know?

Yes just looking at images on line for the SVR and none of them had an engine cover fitted.

I had exactly the same. At it's 2nd annual service and the technicians had written that the engine cover was missing. I couldn't remember ever seeing one and said that it must have been missing from new - and they then told me SVR's don't have one. I then spent two weeks stewing over whether I was stupid or being lied to, and decided probably both. Perhaps this is a Jag technicians joke for the new boy - 'Go and find the engine cover for the SVR' - but I suspect it's just incompetence.

I just saw an SVR Cabriolet this weekend and it had a cover.
A Project 7 parked next to it however did not have a cover and the SVR cover was the same as all the other V8's

What age was the SVR? Maybe early models had them before a perceived issue with temperature was contemplated. Or the owner had one fitted?

Could have been a late model - 2017 / 2018.
I doubt this guy had a cover fitted. He's more into fast cars in general rather than a "Jaguar Fan" In fact definately a lte model as the lights are LED and not Bi Xenon

It's this one, on the left

I got mine new 1st August 2016 - and I think it was one of the first SVRs? - it never had an engine cover! Nice weather for a convertible!
