A chap on another car forum did some testing with UK petrol, I can remember the exact results but the best fuel from a performance was Tesco super as long as it was a busy station, closely followed by shell. There is a shell station just down the road so I use that.
Agree with this one - If it's the same one I read, I seem to recall the report was saying that you're better off choosing a busy station and/or station in a postcode where people are happier forking out a premium for higher octane. i.e. there is a higher turnover of fuel so it doesn't sit around for so long potentially going off... I think that was the gist...
