95 or 98 Octane

I believe Shell is now 97, used to be 98. Tel will have the correct information as he has done a full analysis before.

Says 99 on pump. Will double check next time I go.

Just put V Power in at Shell and it clearly says 99 Octane on the pump. If less they would technically be in breach of consumer protection laws.

Have to admit, I’m not that fussed about 95 or 98 etc.. these engines were designed to, and do, run on 88 or thereabouts in the US, so 95 over here is hardly feeding the car rubbish fuel. But 98/99 does sound the best :lol:
