Door won't open - Dealer wants £180 just to investigate.
This might seem like a silly suggestion but have you tried disconnecting the battery? It might reset something that needs resetting.
I'm having the same issue. But after a few days it fixes itself. Same person broke it 2/2 times they closed the door, so i'm guessing it's a soft door close and then the latch sticks. (total guess mind) I can hear the actuator going, and the door handle opens, but the locked light stays on.
Dealer also wanted 150 /h to investigate and then 150 for 2 hours to fix (assuming latch) with 90 for the latch. I negociated some discount with the initial invesigation and 2h to repair, but basically 500 quid. As the problem has fixed itself again, i'm just going to ensure the door is closed firmly and hope for the best.
BTW, i didn't do anything, just got in one day and it was unlocking again (for both times it happened). So i would give it a little while before paying to get it fixed.
150 /h for labour is (180 for you ) is a piss take imo. If you are going to do it, find an inde jaguar specialist.
Please let us know how you get on, and i will update too if it happens again

That free coffee and flash premises don't pay for themselves ....
Sound advice to find a decent independent, I have a brilliant one in Southampton.

For balance, my Jag went in to a dealer for investigation as to why the reverse lights kept staying on. They held the car for 2 days, gave me a courtesy XF, and when I went back they said they couldn't diagnose the problem, but they'd washed the car and given the battery a full charge anyway. No payment was taken. I was welcome to bring it back if the problem persisted.
I got the car back home and inspected the fuses - the active exhaust fuse had blown. Simply replace it and the car's been fine since.
It really depends on what dealer you get. I was a bit bullish with mine when I was buying the car, but their service was impeccable and aftersales have been very pleasant too. Thanks to Guy Salmon Ascot.
