Could these faults on sensors on these very low mileage cars be attributed to the way it's driven ie. taken out for a few miles once or twice a week ?
A "regular" car used daily rarely suffer's these maladies well over 150,000 km's

I guess it could be, but mine is a daily drive!
I do about 6k-7k per year. Mainly for when I go into office which is 25 mile round trip about 3 or 4 times a week. A few weeks it doesn't move at all, the longest being a 7 week park up and then some long trips around the country multiple times.
You'd think that would be OK to keep things running ok...?

Just a friendly heads up to be cautious ...I was told the same after an 02 sensor fault by the roadside technician, who also suggested to give it a good blast after the fault was cleared. However, upon taking it to the dealership they said x2 (of 4) sensors had gone and it should have been recovered - not driven.

Great stuff. glad you got it sorted quickly. On mine he did a reset & asked had car been not used for a while. Answer yes. I do thrash it a bit now & after the reset been 100% great fingers & toes.

I need to know what some of the common problems we've expereinced here in South Africa - there;s fewer of the F types around. Mostly Porsches here and I mean alot !

I guess BP ultimate should be good stuff, just wondered if there was a common link between those who’ve experienced O2 sensor failures - either fuel or car usage. What are these cars going to be like after 10-15 years?

The frequency and type of use must play a part in this. Parked cars generally suffer all sorts of maladies. Cars are not meant to be parked. The average mileage for a normal car is 12500 miles per annum (22000kms).
Here, we get 95 Octane fuel - just FYI.
Is it only the F Types with failing O2 sensors ?
