My F-Type has just had its first birthday and was treated to its first service today and a set of 2 new rear tyres.

I'm curious what sort of mileage others are getting from their tyres. I have 13,000 miles on the clock and one rear was down to 1.6 exactly, the other was 1.58 (below legal minimum). So I got them both replaced.

I'm using Pirelli P Zeros (295/30/20) on the rear. The fronts still have plenty of tread.

How many miles are others getting?

Can't speak for the F-Type yet, but I usually got about 10,000 miles from whatever tyres I had on my previous XK8 and XKRs - both Pirelli P Zeros and Dunlop Sport Maxx. I'm intrigued how anyone can get more than that - some on the US forum claim to have over 20,000 ... :o

Thanks scm

At least I'm getting even wear across each tyre. My previous XE-S was horrific for wearing down the outside edge of the o/s/f tyre.

I'm guessing your V8 will be applying a little more pressure to the rears than my V6 :D

I replaced the rear tyres at 18,500 last February.
They would have gone further but was off to Snowy part of the World and thought it prudent to have a bit more tread depth.

I'm getting all 4 replaced tomorrow during my service. They'd need doing within the next 6 months so thought I'd do them early before the wet weather arrives.

Hang on... the wet has arrived. Where's my boat? 🀣

Looking forward to seeing what all the fuss is about with Michelin PS4S.

Sounds about right from my experiences of Jaguars. I'll be interested to know your thoughts on the Michelins, do they really transform the car as the US guys claim?

I'm showing just shy of 15K on ours..

The rears are shot on the inside 5% and down to the wear markers for the other 95% of the width. They certainly make for entertaining driving!
Fronts are at 4.5mm - Quite impressed for OEM tyres.

Michelin PS4S's go on this winter while it's off the road.
