This is what I do too. At supermarkets, I'll park some distance away from store, but I still get people parking next to me... Why? Why do they do it?!cj10jeeper wrote: ↑Sat Sep 21, 2019 10:37 am I take a pragmatic approach
Wherever possible park away for others. Never near SUV, cars with childseats, vans etc. Never at pinch points such as turns in multi storey parks
Ironically if you park alone others park next to you seemingly to align
Beyond that it’s a car and to be driven, enjoyed and used not worried about or left at home.

Glad it's not just me then!!
Unfortunately I have a job where very occasionally I have to travel to places where there aren't really any choices as to where to park - just have to turn up and hope for the best... think I'll have to look at a cheap run-around...

My addition to this thread. I only take it to shopping centre's where I know the parkade and select the least popular spot so I park with two bays free next to me and that seems to do fine.

As June (and hopefully post lockdown) arrives, thoughts turn towards going out for the day/ meal again and is it safe to leave the car somewhere unknown
So - what's the current consensus.... leave the kitty at home or just enjoy it and hope for the best?

Wow, an old topic!
I believe Karl Benz might of said....
"A car is a wheeled motor vehicle used primarily on roads, seating one to eight people, with four wheels, and mainly will transport people to where they want to go".
Is there a point in having it if you don't use it?
Park sensibly, enjoy great food and conversations and drive home with a big smile. You're only here once.
EDIT - personal opinion in jest not ment to cause any offence.
