Evening all.
I've just bought a 2.0l for the wife, and its going to have new PS4 tyres on next week (just ordered from Costco - great price!),as the pirellis are diabolical in the wet and cold.
I remember back on my Carrera 4, 997 model, i ran the tyres about 3psi lower than what the book suggested as did many other owners and difference in grip was night and day. what pressures do you guys run in your tyres, or do you keep them all as per the book?
tyre pressures

I'm going to set them at 34 when cold this weekend for a test and see how they get on, i feel the stock pressures are just a little too hard and especially at this time of year, the extra compliancy of a slightly lower pressure will help the tyres get up to temperature quicker and therefore aid grip and indeed comfort as it did on the C4.
We shall see.....

I have the original Pzero. They were wearing more on the edges then in the centre,
not only from 'hard cornering' ..
So I raised the pressure from 2.5 --> 3.0 bar. Rockhard in comparison to 2.5 , but easy to get used to.
No striking difference in roadholding...
[ 2.5 bar is 36psi, 3.0 bar is 43 psi ].
Raised pressure at 18.000km's now 25.000km's :
- rears still can stay on for 3000 km's , [ then 17k miles ];
- front maybe 15.000km's more, [ then 25k miles ]
not only from 'hard cornering' ..

Probably wouldn’t advise 43 psi...
Don’t the P zeros say on them not to exceed 40psi?
